Our cookie- creation

My sweet little baker helped me make some cookies. We made up our own recipe today by combining a couple diff. ones.

Northwest Trek

This weekend we drove south to the Northwest Trek. It is a HUGE area that is all wilderness and has a lot of northwest animals (from beavers to grizzley bears). You take a tram that goes throughout the park to see Elk, Bison, etc. Unfortunately I grew up in the prairies and saw more of these animals on a evening drive than I did at the park. The photo above is Jake with a racoon in the background (dark shape). He is obsessed with Racoons since we use to have them in our back yard quite frequently.

Our Big Adventure!

Thursdays are our new day to go on adventures. We have no commitments, no school, no lessons.... just me and my kiddos!

Today we went to Edmonds Beach and played there. Then I took the kids on a ferry ride to Kingston for hot chocolate and a picnic lunch, and then back to the beach for sand castles and seashells.

The kids and I made a visit to the dentist yesterday. It was Liv's first trip. We hadn't been there in over a year and so now that we have insurance we finally went! (not that I really wanted to be reminded of a really bad crack in a tooth that needs a crown)

The other day Livi was so exhausted that she passed out in the middle of the toy room while Jake and a piano student of mine were playing Mario Cart wii! she stayed like this for a couple of hours!

My little boy is growing up way to fast! This week he started preschool!

Those were Dan's great words of comfort as I mourned the deletion of my blog. How on earth did I do it?? (word to the wise: don't delete a gmail account- if your blog is linked to it. It will delete your blog too.)
